La De Da Parade & 4th of July
Celebrate the 4th of July in Yachats!
Join us for a fun-filled Independence Day on the Oregon Coast. The festivities begin with our famously quirky La De Da Parade, featuring creative, people-powered entries that showcase the heart and humor of our community. Throughout the day, enjoy live music, family activities, local shopping events, great food, and fireworks by the ocean.

Yachats 4th of July Events
Lions Club Breakfast – 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Kick off your 4th of July in Yachats with a hearty breakfast and good company. Enjoy a delicious meal and support a great cause. Suggested donation: $10.
Yachats Farmers Market – 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Stroll through the Yachats Farmers Market and discover fresh local produce, artisan goods, and unique crafts. A perfect way to enjoy the morning and support local vendors.
Salute to Veterans – 11:00 AM
Join us behind the Commons to honor our veterans during this heartfelt 30-minute sing-along and watch as the colors retire for 2026.
Ladies Club Hot Dog Sale – 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Grab a tasty hot dog and chips from the Ladies Club for just $5. Find them at the corner of 3rd and Pontiac Street.
La De Da Parade – 12:00 PM
A Yachats tradition! Don’t miss the whimsical, people-powered La De Da Parade. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and find your spot anywhere along Ocean View Drive between W. 7th St. and Beach Ave., or watch from the State Park lawn at the west end of 2nd St. Get ready for fun and surprises!

Best Parade Viewing Spots
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Great viewing areas include:
Along Ocean View Drive (between W. 7th St. and Beach Ave.)
The State Park lawn at the west end of 2nd Street
Community Celebration – 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Head behind the Commons between the Pavilion and Commons Gym for an afternoon and evening of community fun featuring:
BBQ
Beer Garden - hosted by Pelican Brewery and View the Future
Bounce House, yard games and dunk tank, concession stand - hosted by YYFAP ( $10 for all day bounce or $5 for an hour )
Live Music outside starting at 1:00 pm - 8pm in front of the Pavilion
Fun Around Town – 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Explore special activities, pop-ups, and festive events happening throughout town at participating local shops and businesses.
Kite show on the beach – 1:00 - 5pm (South side of the Bridge )
Side walk chalk art – 1:00 pm - dusk (Ocean View Road)
Skate Show – time TBD (Skate Park)
Fireworks – Dusk
Cap off your Independence Day with Yachats’ spectacular fireworks show. The display begins at sundown over the mouth of the Yachats River. Find a safe spot and enjoy the show!
