Yachats Weather Overview
Yachats settles into a gentle coastal rhythm with dry, pleasant summers and wetter, moodier winters, all with mild temperatures year-round. Freezing weather is rare, and summer heat seldom climbs past the upper 80s.
July through September are the warmest and sunniest months, though ocean fog can roll in during the morning or evening, so a light jacket is always a good idea.
Most of the 65 to 90 inches of annual rain falls between November and January, when Yachats shines in a different way. Winter brings dramatic skies, powerful surf, and unforgettable storm watching. With mild temperatures and good layers, the coast is just as rewarding in winter as it is in summer.
